The Genshin Impact update 2.4 special programme livestream date has emerged and banner leaks possibly reveal what we will watch this weekend.

MiHoYo’s free-to-play title is currently in the final weeks of version 2.3. Although the game is drawing to a close with its end scheduled for early January, there’s still plenty to enjoy such as the debuting playable protagonists Arataki Itto and Gorou.

While version 2.3 has been fantastic so far, miHoYo’s next chapter could be even better with two fresh-faced lasses.

The leaked date for the Genshin Impact 2.4 special programme preview livestream is December 26th.

This hasn’t been confirmed by miHoYo, but it reportedly comes from the reliable TZ per Reddit. It’s not a huge diverge from the usual, but many people expected the special programme to air on December 24th as previews typically happen on Friday.

However, provided it does happen on Sunday, it will be a nice treat for us all to enjoy on Boxing Day.

You will be able to watch the 2.4 livestream on Twitch at 04:00 PT, 07:00 ET, and 12:00 GMT on December 26th provided the leaked date is accurate.

Fans will be able to catch the vod shortly after on YouTube. This is for those who don’t own a Twitch account or aren’t particularly fussed about catching the preview live.

We don’t know all of the events that will be happening, but we do know two new characters coming via banners. One will be the officially announced Shenhe who is listed as a 5-stars protagonist on Honey Hunter World.

The other new character is Yun Jin and she is listed as 4-stars. This means she will be part of another banner instead of headlining her own like Shenhe.

One of the leaked 5-star banner characters for Genshin Impact update 2.4 is Xiao.

This comes courtesy of Lumie via Reddit. The leaker claims that it will be similar to 2.3 with Xiao and Shenhe banners beginning the new season with the same 4-stars companions.

A second banner leak hasn’t emerged as of writing, but it’s possible that this one will contain Yun-Jin. That way players have another new character to anticipate after 2.4 starts on January 5th.
