Trinidad: St Lucia Kings 189-7, St Kitts & Nevis Patriots 140 - St Lucia Kings won by 49 runs

David Wiese delivered an all-round performance to help St Lucia Kings defeat St Kitts & Nevis Patriots by 49 runs.

Batting first, Faf du Plessis and Johnson Charles gifted the Kings a fast start, putting on 48 runs off just 28 deliveries before the former was removed by Marco Jansen.

After losing Niroshan Dickwella off the final delivery of the powerplay, Charles found support from Adam Hose and Roston Chase before eventually being dismissed for 61 (41) in the 16th over – his third 50-plus knock of the competition.

Wiese, however, ensured his side's innings wouldn't fizzle out, blasting 21 runs off 12 deliveries – including putting on 36 (18) with Roshon Primus – as St Lucia closed on 189 for 7.

Dwayne Bravo picked up 2 for 26 while Akila Dananjaya conceded just 16 runs from his three overs, but every other St Kitts bowler leaked in excess of 10 an over.

In reply, Dewald Brevis (32 off 19) aside, St Kitts really lacked any impetus with the bat, losing Andre Fletcher and Evin Lewis inside the powerplay and limping to 67 for 4 at the halfway mark.

Rashid Khan offered some lower order resistance, scoring 26 off 19, but it was too little, too late and St Kitts were all out for 140 off the final delivery.

Wiese terrorised the middle order, wrapping up Darren Bravo, Sherfane Rutherford and Dawyne Bravo in quick succession as he posted figures of 3 for 8. Kesrick Williams also collected three wickets while Primus took 2 for 23 and Alzarri Joseph bagged 1 for 31.
