Ripon Public Library recently announced its June lineup of special events for all ages.

Funding from the Friends of the library makes it possible for events and special offerings are always free. Registration is not required.

The event features Pollinator/Gardening Webinars with garden expert and author Melinda Myers. A link to event will be shared on the library website and on Facebook. Individuals may attend by viewing at the library or register online to view on your own. The content geared toward teens and adults.

Folks may enjoy yard games and a hands-on learn and play station hosted by Green Lake Association. Ripon's Water Department also will offer 5-Things-to-Know about Ripon's water with everyday tips for keeping it healthy.

The Ripon Public will be in the Webster’s parking lot for fun activities and more.

This event features simple yoga poses plus a fruit & vegetable snack, which the library says makes for a healthy fun for the whole family. “It’s good for the brain, the body, and all-around awesome living skills,” the library said in a press release. Kid-size mats will be provided, adults should bring their own mat. The event repeats on June 20 and July 18.

The library will host papermaking workshops Tuesday, June 7 from 10 a.m. to noon and from 2 to 4 p.m. Another workshop is slated for Wednesday, June 8 from 5 to 7 p.m. And another Thursday, June 9 from 10 a.m. to noon and 2 to 4 p.m.

Papermaker Tanya Schwartz-Roeper’s mobile studio will be at the library for drop-in crafting. All ages and abilities are invited to explore and create.

Bill Hill, a guitarist and vocalist specializing in jazz and popular standards from the 1920s to the 1960s, will play live music in the library. Hill won the Jazz Artist of the Year in 2018 from the Wisconsin Area Music Industry.

Ripon Noon Kiwanis presents a free, annual event that focuses on fun and community resources for kids and families.

Funday Monday | Alexandria Games | June 13 | 6:30 from 7:30 p.m.

The fun folks from Alexandria Games guide guests in exploring a host of family-friendly board games, puzzles, and more.The library says snacks and laughs will be included.

Early literacy and STEM concepts come to life through stories, music, movement and enrichment activities. “It’s a happy place for kids and caregivers to learn and play,” the library said. Gather on the side lawn, bring chairs or blankets. In inclement weather, Storytime moves indoors.

The library will provide you with a mini canvas and a variety of supplies so folks can show their talent. All ages are welcome to attend. Art created may be displayed in the Library's Mini Art Show until Aug. 29 or taken home.

Folks may race against other teams to see who can put a puzzle together the fastest. Join us and the Ripon Senior Activity Center for a speed puzzling event. Teams of up to four may sign up ahead of time or the day of the event. Puzzles will be provided, and the event is for all ages.

Join the library for a relaxing hangout behind the library by Silver Creek while learning how to play singing bowls.

Teens may drop into the library for Beanie Baby Taxidermy. All supplies provided to make their own wood-mounted stuffed animal taxidermy decoration.

Randy Peterson will perform a musical story, “Henry and the Treasure Chest.”

Want to help reduce waste from the fashion industry? Make a one-of-a-kind upcycled T-shirt tote. All supplies provided, but if folks have a special t-shirt they want to upcycle, bring it.
