People gathered at the Veterans’ Memorial School in Norwich on Saturday for Laurel Hill Volunteer Fire Company’s 75th anniversary celebration.

Fire trucks and other equipment from Laurel Hill and from other fire departments in Norwich and neighboring towns were on display for visitors to see.

People were also able to learn how to use a fire extinguisher and put out a controlled fire. In addition with the assistance from a firefighter they could use a fire hose among the other stations for people to learn about emergency services.
